The seventh USKF Shotokan Cup was held at the Blanchardstown Institute of Technology. It was a very exciting competition, with many rising stars on the day. The highlight of the day was the kumite competitions, with very exciting matches in both the female and male catagories. Finally, the team kumite event rounded off a great day, with the Newbridge female and Corduff male teams taking gold. Best female on the day was Ruth O'Hara (Ruth also won best female in the National Championships earlier this year), and Best male on the day went to Eamon O'Connor.
