USKFI Youth Championships

The USKFI held its first ever Youth Championships last Sunday. The event, held in the new Greystones dojo, proved to be very successful with an electrifying atmosphere during several of the kumite matches. The addition of a new kumite category for 9-11 year olds meant several younger students were competing in kumite for the first time and produced some very spirited matches. The referees and judges agrees that the attitude and determination of the competitors was extremely impressive throughout the day and we would like to congratulate all medal winners. Our thanks also to the hard work of the O'Brien family from the Greystones dojo in facilitating the competition.
