Eight USKFI members recently attended the KUGB’s annual Summer School in Lancaster. The School, now in its 29th year, was attended from karateka from all over the UK, Ireland and as far afield as Nigeria. Aside from the twice-daily training, students could also avail of lectures, Bo classes and the fiercely-contested Superstars competitions between Dan and Kyu grades. Some of the USKFI contingent also attended two extra training classes for those with imminent Dan gradings, bringing their total training for the five days to 15 hours! The group, pictured above with Sensei Frank Brennan, 7th Dan, had an excellent week and came away with renewed vigour and enthusiasm to bring back to their individual dojos.
