Last Sunday, the USKFI held the 8th Shotokan Cup at the Blanchardstown Institute of Technology. There was a great atmosphere on the day with many new talented karateka winning gold.

The best overall competitor trophies went to Hartstown's Emma Donahue and Erica Henderson of Huntstown. Emma Donahue won the U16 Yrs Orange-Red Belt kata (Mixed) and the Sambon Kumite Orange-Yellow Belt 6-8 Yrs (Mixed), and Erica Henderson won the U16 Yellow-Purple Belt Kata (Mixed), came 2nd in the 10 Yrs and Under Orange-Black Belt Kata (Mixed). Ones to watch for the future!
